Dear Madswimmer Family and Friends
2019 is well underway, bringing with it a (nearly) new year of adventure, and great opportunity to make a difference.
Looking back on last year, we had some of our best swims ever – four incredible adventures with our Madswimmer team getting both national and international press coverage on a couple of them …
LAST YEARS GOALS
- The Orange River Adventure – March 2018 raised over R80k for Swim4Sadie.
- Dassen Island Challenge – May 2018 – watch the swim
- Kilwa Island Swim – October 2018 – the first of it’s kind – with possibly our biggest team yet!
- Antarctica Ice Challenge – November 2018 – definitely the most epic swim of the year! Samantha Whelpton, Ram Barkai, Jean Craven and Clinton le Sueur joined the team of 14 swimmers (from all over the world) in the first official 1km ice swim event in minus 1.4 degree Antarctic waters.
